Digital Rotary Viscometer PCE-RVI 10 | Viscosity Meter, Paint Viscosity Tester and Condition Monitoring Instrument with 5" Touchscreen

The PCE-RVI 10 is a benchtop rotational viscometer for laboratories, QC departments and production teams that need dependable dynamic viscosity readings on paints, coatings, oils and other liquids. It covers a measuring range of 10 to 2,000,000 mPa·s (cP) with an accuracy of ±1.0% of the set measuring range, and it records sample temperature alongside viscosity from 0 to 100 °C (32 to 212 °F). Whether you file it under viscosity meter, paint viscosity tester or condition monitoring equipment, it is one instrument serving all three roles.

Measurement works on the rotational principle: a spindle turns in the sample, the liquid resists that motion, and the PCE-RVI 10 converts the resulting torque into a viscosity value. Eight rotation speeds (0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30 and 60 rpm) and the included L1, L2, L3 and L4 spindles let operators match the setup to the sample, while repeatability of ±0.2% of the set measuring range supports consistent batch-to-batch comparisons.

Viscosity and Temperature in One Reading

An immersion resistance temperature sensor sits in the sample during the test, so every viscosity value comes with the temperature it was taken at. For temperature-sensitive materials such as oils and coatings, that pairing is what makes results comparable between shifts, sites and suppliers. Results can be shown in mPa·s, Pa·s, dPa·s, cP, P or cPs to suit your test method or customer specification.

Hands-Off Test Runs and PC Data Transfer

The built-in timer lets the PCE-RVI 10 run a measurement on its own while measurement data is transferred to a PC over the RS232 (SUB D9) interface (data cable supplied with the optional PCE-SOFT-RVI software). With PCE's optional analysis software, temperature and viscosity profiles can be viewed as graphs or tables, and a printer can optionally be connected for direct printouts. The 5" touchscreen keeps spindle and speed selection straightforward for operators at every experience level.

Set Up for Accurate Spindle Alignment

Height adjustment of approximately 25 cm (9.8 in) lets you position the spindle correctly in the sample, and adjustable feet with a built-in bubble level help keep the spindle vertical in the sample. For very thin liquids, PCE offers an optional L0 spindle that extends measurement down to 1 cP. The complete set ships in a hard transport case for protected storage between uses.
