Ultra-Thin 2.8 mm Industrial Borescope PCE-VE 270HR | Condition Monitoring Endoscope, Videoscope & NDT Inspection Camera with 2 m (6.56 ft) Flexible Probe, IP 67 and HDMI Output
The PCE-VE 270HR is an ultra-thin industrial borescope for visual inspection through very small openings. With a 2.8 mm (0.11 in) camera probe on a 2 m (6.56 ft) flexible cable, it gives maintenance and repair staff in workshops and industrial plants a direct view inside motors and systems as part of condition monitoring and non-destructive testing (NDT). It is equally at home described as an endoscope, videoscope or inspection camera, and it reaches through access points too narrow for the 6.0 mm (0.24 in) probes of the PCE-VE 370HR and PCE-VE 370HR3 videoscopes.
Unlike those articulating videoscopes, the PCE-VE 270HR is built around probe size: a front-viewing (0°) camera with a wide 120° field of view and a depth of field of 5–50 mm (0.2–1.97 in), lit by 4 LEDs. The probe is waterproof and rated IP 67, so it can be used in liquids.

A 2.8 mm (0.11 in) diameter lets the PCE-VE 270HR pass through small bore holes and access openings where larger probes cannot follow. The flexible 2 m (6.56 ft) cable conforms to curved paths inside the equipment, and the wide 120° field of view shows more of the surrounding surface in each frame. Exposure is automatic, so the image adjusts as the probe moves between bright and shaded areas.
Large Screen and Live HDMI Output
Images appear on a 5" TFT screen on the handheld unit. For team reviews or training, the HDMI video output sends the live picture to an external display, and a stand is included so the unit can be set down while you work the probe. The 1/18" CMOS image sensor delivers a camera resolution of 400 x 400 px.
Document and Share Findings
Images save as JPEG and video as MP4, both at 400 x 400 px, to a Micro SD memory card. A Micro-USB interface is provided alongside HDMI. Menus are available in German, English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, Japanese and Korean.
Battery Life, Size and Interchangeable Probes
A 3.7 V Li-ion battery with 5200 mAh capacity provides a battery life of at least 6 h. The unit measures 200 x 130 x 58 mm (7.9 x 5.1 x 2.3 in), weighs 595 g (1.3 lb), and operates and stores between -10 and +50 °C (14 and 122 °F). PCE offers replacement borescope cables for the PCE-VE 270HR, including an extra-thin probe and a probe with a side camera, so one base unit can cover more inspection tasks.
