Pipe Inspection Camera PCE-PIC 60 — Drain Camera, Videoscope & NDT Inspection Camera with 60 m Fiber Optic Cable

The PCE-PIC 60 is a professional-grade pipe and channel inspection camera designed for drain inspection, sewer surveys, chimney inspection, HVAC duct examination, and non-destructive testing (NDT) of industrial infrastructure. It serves as a drain camera, videoscope, snake camera, and industrial borescope in a single field-ready system. The PCE-PIC 60 carries a 60 m (196.9 ft) fiber optic push cable terminated with a motorized 60 mm (2.4 in) camera head capable of full 360° horizontal pan and 180° vertical tilt, making it suitable for pipes and channels ranging from 80 to 1200 mm (3.1 to 47.2 in) in diameter.

The motorized focus system adjusts sight depth continuously between 20 and 100 cm, allowing the operator to resolve detail at varying distances within the pipe. Four dimmable ultra-bright LEDs illuminate the interior, and a 105° field of view ensures broad coverage of the channel wall. Image capture uses a 1/2.9″ Sony CCD sensor at 1920 × 1080 pixels, recording video in AVI and stills in JPEG to an SD card of up to 256 GB. A 10.1″ LC display (1280 × 800 pixels) provides a clear on-site view, and HDMI output allows connection to an external monitor for team review or client-facing documentation. USB connectivity supports keyboard input directly on the unit, enabling technicians to annotate inspections with location data or notes in the field.

Meter Counting and Location Pinpointing

An integrated electronic meter counter tracks cable deployment from 0 to 60 m (0 to 196.9 ft), allowing operators to record the precise depth at which damage, blockages, or defects are located. This eliminates guesswork during subsequent excavation or repair planning — a practical advantage on municipal drain surveys, plumbing diagnostics, and pipeline condition assessments.

System Construction and Deployment

The PCE-PIC 60 ships on a robust aluminum cable trolley. A roller guide mounts to the camera head for smooth entry into pipes and channels. The system operates from a 110–240 V AC mains supply or a 12 V / 6000 mAh lithium-ion battery, supporting extended field sessions. The camera head carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully protected against continuous water submersion — appropriate for wet drain and sewer environments. Operating temperature range is −10 to 50°C (14 to 122°F).
