Portable Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Meter for Liquids PCE-TDS 200 SM | Handheld Flow Meter and Data Logger with S and M Sensor Pairs for DN 15 to DN 700

The PCE-TDS 200 SM is a portable, clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter for liquids, built for facility engineers, HVAC and building services technicians, process teams and water utilities who need flow data without opening the line. Sensors attach to the outside of the pipe, so there is no cutting, no tapping and no shutdown. The instrument measures flow velocity across a range of -32 to +32 m/s (±105 ft/s) with 0.001 m/s resolution and reports velocity, volume flow and total volume.

What sets the SM version apart is that it ships with two sensor pairs. The PCE-TDS 200 S SENSOR pair covers pipes from DN 15 to 100 mm (Ø 20 to 108 mm, 0.79 to 4.25 in), and the PCE-TDS 200 M SENSOR pair covers DN 50 to 700 mm (Ø 57 to 720 mm, 2.24 to 28.35 in). Together they span DN 15 to DN 700 from a single case. Accuracy is ±1.5% at DN ≥50 mm and ±3.5% at DN <50 mm (velocities above 0.3 m/s, 0.98 ft/s), with reproducibility of ±0.5%.

Quick, Reliable Sensor Installation

Both sensor pairs have built-in magnets for mounting on ferrous pipes and can also be secured to any pipe with the included detachable cable ties. A graphical installation aid on the PCE-TDS 200 SM shows signal quality and confirms sensor positioning, which shortens setup on unfamiliar pipework. The instrument supports Z, V, N and W measuring methods, and each sensor pair operates at 1 MHz with a rated temperature of -30 to 160 °C (-22 to 320 °F) and a 5 m (16.4 ft) sensor cable.

Configured for Your Pipe and Medium

Enter the pipe and medium data and the meter does the rest. Presets cover steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene and other pipe materials, plus inner linings such as epoxy resin, rubber and mortar. Media presets include water, seawater, oil, crude oil, methanol, ethanol, diesel and petrol, and user-defined sound velocities can be entered for pipe material, lining or medium when your application falls outside the list.

Long-Term Flow Logging and Alarms

The data logger stores up to 10 million measuring points on 32 GB of internal memory, with storage intervals from 1 s to 12 h and configurable start and stop conditions. That supports anything from a short commissioning check to an extended flow survey. Adjustable alarm limits (undercut, overflow, within, beyond) signal optically and acoustically. Data transfers to a PC over USB-C, and PCE's optional software reads out logged values, displays them as tables and graphs, exports to .csv and generates PDF reports. Results display in metric or imperial units on the 2.8" color LC display, and the IP52-rated housing runs for up to 10 h on its 2500 mAh battery.
