Magnetic Field Meter PCE-MFM 2400 – Magnetometer, Gauss Meter, Tesla Meter, EMF Measuring Device & Electromagnetic Field Analyzer for Static DC Fields up to 24,000 G

The PCE-MFM 2400 is a handheld magnetic field meter and magnetometer built for fast, repeatable measurement of static (DC) magnetic fields in industrial production, QC, R&D, and field service work. Positioned as a magnetic field detector, electromagnetic field meter, electromagnetic radiation detector, EMF measuring device, EMF test device, radioactivity meter, high precision gauss meter, and tesla meter in a single instrument, the PCE-MFM 2400 gives technicians one tool to verify permanent magnets, characterize magnet assemblies, inspect relays, and screen stray fields around motors and ferrous tooling.

The PCE-MFM 2400 covers four switchable measurement ranges from 0–200 mT and 200–2,400 mT on the Tesla scale, plus 0–2,000 G and 2,000–24,000 G on the Gauss scale, with an accuracy of ±1% of reading and a resolution of 0.01 mT / 0.1 G. A transversal Hall-effect sensor on a ~1 m (3.28 ft) cable lets users press the probe flat against magnet faces, assemblies, and surfaces to capture perpendicular field strength without fighting probe orientation.

With a backlit 4-digit digital display, hold and measurement modes, automatic shutoff after 5 minutes of idle time, and power from a single 9 V block battery, the PCE-MFM 2400 is ready for bench testing, line-of-production QC, and on-site inspection. At 185 × 97 × 40 mm (7.28 × 3.82 × 1.57 in) and 310 g (0.68 lb), it slips into a tool bag alongside other handheld test gear.

Measure Permanent Magnets, Relays, and Assemblies

Four switchable ranges let the PCE-MFM 2400 resolve low-field readings near 0.01 mT while still handling the 24,000 G (2,400 mT) fields produced by rare-earth magnets and industrial magnet assemblies. Users can read in milliTesla or Gauss with a single unit toggle, removing manual conversion during inspection, documentation, or incoming-goods checks.

Transversal Hall Probe on a 1 m Cable

Unlike axial probes that read along the sensor's length, the transversal Hall sensor on the PCE-MFM 2400 reads fields perpendicular to the flat face of the probe tip. That makes it well suited to laying the probe against a magnet surface, a relay pole face, or an assembled component and capturing the normal field component directly. The ~1 m (3.28 ft) cable keeps the sensor far enough from the meter body to avoid operator interference with the reading.

Built for QC, Maintenance, and Field Service

The PCE-MFM 2400 operates from 0 to 50 °C (32 to 122 °F), tolerates storage from -20 to 50 °C (-4 to 122 °F), and runs off a single 9 V block battery with automatic 5-minute shutdown, which makes it equally suited for a QC station, a maintenance toolkit, or a service technician's field kit.

Features
